I am an intellectual property lawyer and a Registered Trademark Agent in Canada. My experience has been recognized in the World Trademark Review’s WTR 1000.I have provided opinions on the availability of trademarks, prosecuted trademark applications, handled trademark oppositions and trademark cancellations (expungement) in Canada, as well as coordinated international trademark matters. I have also provided copyright and general intellectual property advice and counselling.I have assisted with representing parties in intellectual property litigation (including disputes relating to trademarks and copyrights) before the Ontario Superior Court, the Federal Court of Canada, and administrative tribunals (the Trademarks Opposition Board).I have also assisted with the intellectual property aspects of corporate and commercial transactions, including the drafting and review of agreements, as well as licensing issues.I am the former editor-in-chief of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada’s (IPIC) Canadian Intellectual Property Review (CIPR), and currently on its editorial board. I serve on IPIC’s Copyright Committee.
