Gave exposure to the people by sending them abroad for trainings and learning new ways of working. Deployed IWS methodologies in both factories (Akora Khattak and Jhelum) which is the best modern tool to enhance efficiency of the machines by reducing stops. 100% workforce and management population were trained on this latest tool called IWS. Ran FSDP (Frontline Skills Development Program) which is again the latest tool to keep people motivated.

Dhaka, Bangladesh

Handled all production and maintenance activities to streamline operations throughout the factories. Installation and upgrade of new generation high speed machineries on PMD (primary manufacturing) and SMD (secondary manufacturing) floors. Total production was enhanced from 54M a days to 140M a day which is a wide increase of 160%. During this period more then 300 people were trained on maintenance and operations including floor management which was highly appreciated by higher management of BAT Bangladesh and BAT Globe House as well.

Akora Khattak, Pakistan

Look after mantainence activities, mantainence projects and technical skills development of resources on the floor. Conversion of machineries from ten cigarettes to twenties and twenties to tens and tens to fourteens, accomplished by local resources and saved millions of pounds for the company on international workforce requirement. Developed wrapping material by working closely with companies like Packages, Aluminium Industries and other printing companies in Pakistan. Developed mechanical workshops locally for manufacturing spares instead of buying from foreign companies which helped the local industry to save huge amount of foreign expenses for the multination brand. Run training programs to train the trainer, MRP2 and SAP programs to avoid all paper work and time delays and allowed us to retain better management control. Study was done on time and motion of resources and reduce people where required to save companies cost.

Worked as a Team Leader to look after shift production and mantainence and base on extra ordinary performance got promotion as Production Manager (Shift) in 1997. Worked deliberately with local team to ensure smooth transition of Russian machinery to modernised European machinery.

Worked as a team leader (mini factory concept) and handled production, mantainence and people management independently. Generated record output with extra ordinary quality. Being first team leader of Pakistan Tobacco Company has proved that team working is the best way of working. And based on team performance this concept was initiated across all factories in Pakistan. And experience of team working was shared to all teams in both factories which was great success for the company. Went to Holland to bring new packing machinery for Jhelum factory.

Started career at BAT. Got training on packing machines, then worked in the packing department and looked after packing machine maintenance. Based on performance, got promoted as Technical Superintendent and went to Holland for new generation packing machinery training. Installed new packing machinery independently without any foreign help. Also imparted training to all technicians and operatives and made them capable to run this new generation machinery.
