• Implemented dynamic quantization for pretrained MobileNetV2 model and achieved an accuracy improvement of 1% over statically quantized model without retraining in a Pytorch based emulation of Ambarella hardware.
• Implemented dynamically quantized convolution layers in Pytorch to ascertain effect on accuracy of the model
• Developed framework to experiment with different quantized models and analyse layerwise activation statistics to gauge effectiveness as tracking variables for dynamic quantization
• Designed and analyzed the effectiveness of multiple control schemes for dynamic variation of layer quantization parameters to maximize model accuracy while conforming to hardware architecture constraints
• Identified and fixed a failure mode of dynamic quantization for Resnet, resulting in accuracy gain over static quantization
• Prototyped a dynamic quantization implementation for Ambarella’s CV2 architecture by modifying deployed C code

• Used Bi-RNN based architecture to extract video highlights and generate representative summary
• Improved existing summarization method by splitting video into 1.5 second segments to allow for finer time resolutionin the summary thereby eliminating overhead computation for video segmentation
• Implemented a prototype end-to-end pipeline using the open source libraries OpenCV, Pytorch, FFMPEG
• Estimated 59% reduction in storage costs with minimum information loss
