Athena Louise Lopez Email and Phone Number
Athena Louise Lopez is a Biomedical engineering PhD candidate at the University of Texas, Austin. She earned her Master’s of Engineering in Biomedical engineering from the University of California, Irvine and her Bachelor's in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley. As an innovator and a researcher, her background is built on the backbone of doing All for the Glory of God by being a light. This light propels her to utilize her eye for creativity and holistic design to focus on the interface between entrepreneurship and innovation in the bioengineering field within academia. Fueled with a multifaceted technical and emotional intelligent mindset, Athena welcomes a multidisciplinary perspective to biomedical projects. Being someone who has worked on projects in bio-agriculture, medtech, biomaterials, biochemistry, and software design ,she has a proven track record of bringing projects to life. With strong critical thinking skills for making data-driven engineering decisions and solutions she is prepared to function in academia and impart these skills to others, just as her professors have done for her. With a heart for academics and student life, Athena is always willing to mentor others in any way she is able. When she is not in lab or working on her next device, she is doing chemistry in the kitchen, eating spiritual food in the bible, photographing her food for yelp reviews, or singing a Psalm. One day she will use these strengths together to educate and inspire other engineers as a future faculty member at an R01 Institution. Please reach out if you would ever like to chat! Thank you for reading about Athena! The Lord Bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious. (Numbers 6:24-26)
