Senior at the University of Colorado Boulder pursuing a degree in Strategic Communication with an emphasis in Strategic Advertising and a minor in Spanish. I am confident in my abilities to be a high-performing addition to any team that will add a valuable, diverse perspective to an organization with similar values and dedication to consumers, and content. I intend to exceed expectations with my exceptional communication skills, my interest in nonprofit organizations, and my personal interest in the development of campaigns and branding that improve the consumer experience. I have found that working with nonprofit organizations and organizations that care for their communities is a genuine passion of mine. As someone interested in marketing, advertising, and how communication can improve the consumer experience, I’m eager to develop basic to advanced knowledge in social media marketing, blogging, and website, and newsletter editing. I have always loved to write and have spent many years journaling, crafting fictional stories, and improving my ability to write technically and academically. As a first-generation college student and Hispanic woman, I value vibrant communities and the effort that goes into preserving and improving the cultural and commercial vitality of a place and a community. I have previously worked at the Aurora History Museum in Aurora, Colorado in an entry-level position where I assisted in the development and execution of community programs that aimed to improve consumer experience and preserve historic sites. I continued that work as a Digital Marketing and Communications Intern with KGNU Community Radio where I developed marketing and promotional materials, campaigns, and content for diverse audiences across the Front Range developing technical skills, like MailChimp, Adobe Premiere Rush/Pro, and developing a brand-adhering writing style. I take personal pride in the ability to communicate effectively and would love the opportunity to gain applicable job experience in the field of communications, marketing, and/or outreach within a traditional or nontraditional role.
