Cinemakidz is a Brooklyn-based youth arts STEAM educational program, offering children ages 5 -15 the opportunity to explore the world of movie-making in an engaging and interdisciplinary manner. The program serves over 4000 kids & is partnered with private schools throughout NYC boroughs. Position: Lead classroom teacher for film/media after-school enrichment program in renowned NYC private schools (Nightingale Bramford, Packer Collegiate, The Ecole School) teaching grades 1-8 in a variety of filmmaking & production genres. Responsibilities include the following:-Curriculum development in order to provide a selection of varied and enriching classes within directing, filmmaking, animation, & so forth-Leading lessons and developing unit plans on the technical and creative aspects of film production -intensive technology and software lessons with hands-on activities to ease students of all ages into collaborating and producing content with advanced camerawork, audio equipment, storyboarding process, & post-production editing-provide detailed reports on student behavior, attendance, progress, & general assessment on a daily basis to program executives & parental figure -maintain a safe, clean learning environment through the implementation of inquiry-based learning alongside classroom etiquette rules in order to regulate 30+ children at a time-ensure the safety and privacy protocols of every student & fulfill both educational quotas alongside caretaking responsibilities (properly checking out every student to their caretakers after class ends, monitoring the whereabouts of children during breaks, taking precautionary approaches to address classroom conflict)

-Transitioned Alfa's showcase exhibition "2020 Encounters: NBAS Oil & Mixd Media Exhibition" by utilizing VR technology (artsteps) into the format of a 3D interactive gallery, providing an alternative to canceling the event during the nationwide pandemic and contributing to remote viewing events for visual artists-Conducted artist outreach through the curation of remote interviews, call sheets, billing statements/invoices, & editing the footage to be published on the site for gallery launch-Event coordination and hosting for the gallery exhibition; managed to transfer the entirety of the in-person gallery into a remote event, with recorded interviews, 3D gallery tours, and artist q+a conducted with team members.
