Hi! My name is Athina and I’m a psychology student at the University of Minnesota. As my final year of undergrad approaches to the end, I found myself completely changing the career route that I had planned. I gained interest in the tech industry, specifically user experience and user interface design (UI/UX). While UX design is centered around helping users have a better experience. Psychology can also play a big role in design by allowing designers to empathize with their users. By integrating psychology in design, we can approach UX design through the lens of human behavior.I'm planning on utilizing my psychology degree to distinguish myself from other candidates in the tech industry. Currently, I'm focused on graduating, gaining experience, and creating a portfolio. I strive to be a UX/UI Designer in the future, but I am open to other career opportunities in the tech/design industry. I'm passionate about helping others, universal design, and being creative.
