Dr. Athul Prasad is an internationally acclaimed senior research leader, inventor, author & technologist, with a passion for sustainable change through disruptive innovations. He has worked with various companies such as Samsung, Nokia, Huawei, and NEC, in research, product management, technology consulting, and product development roles for 15+ years, delivering high-quality research, products & standards, catering to global customers. As a global leader, during the past 17 years he has lived in eight major cities within North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. He has successfully led projects, created and deployed products in over 70 countries across the globe, in close collaboration with customers.He is proficient in the end-to-end life-cycle management of products from early-stage, data-driven ideation and experimentation, to late-stage maintenance. He has built digital twin platforms using robust statistical / machine learning models for estimating the potential viability of early-stage innovations, before making multi-billion $ product investment decisions. He is equally proficient in the application of federated learning for improving spectral efficiency of a wireless network, the mechanics behind structuring a leveraged buyout, and deciding the optimal capital structure of a startup or multi-million $ project.
