Training Consultant8F Consultancy Oct 2010 - May 2016Essex, LondonA founder member of 8F Consultancy I won contracts with Reed in Partnership, Exemplas, and HT Skills, TSA Group. The consultancy offered vocational skills services such as; - Awarding Body approval - ROTO / ROaTP approval- Employability training- Curriculum design- NVQ Assessment services - Assessment development - Training delivery - Project managment - Sales strategies One of the most memorable initiatives I was lucky enough to lead on here was the establishment of a DJ Academy in Essex. The training provider I was working for at the time was struggling to attract young people on to its employability programmes and being an amature DJ myself I suggested blending employability into a DJ academy. After having the budget and business case approved by the Directors I set up a meeting with a local nightclub and negotiated the use of their premises during the day time. They agreed and I set up a number of DJ stations within the venue. During the 2 week course learners would learn specific music mixing skills and understand how to get gigs and work opportunities. The programme was a huge success and our employability figures doubled. Within 3 months the course was so popular that we had a waiting list in operation. To this day I have friends I stay in touch with that I made via this academy who started off as students, many of whom have gone on to play at large music festivals in Essex, and I couldn't be more proud of them. -
