At Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, my role as Scientist D is deeply rooted in addressing industrial and environmental challenges through the innovative use of bacteriophages. Our team's efforts have culminated in groundbreaking methods for controlling biofilm and biofouling in cooling water systems, directly contributing to the operational efficiency of atomic power plants. This endeavor has been further enriched by my active memberships in various societies, where sharing and gaining knowledge is a constant process.Concurrently pursuing a PhD has allowed me to delve deeper into the science of phage therapy, particularly its application against multi-drug resistant infections. My research, which complements my professional work, focuses on isolating bacteriophages for a phage bank aimed at tackling ESKAPE and Indian Priority pathogens.
