Diya Welfare Society Azad Manzal , Pakhwal Road, Mansehra January 2010 - presentPrograms Manager:• Responsible for office management including students’ fee distribution, maintaining accounts, dealing with donors and other NGOs. • Collecting data on basic missing facilities in Government schools of district Mansehra and Monitoring renovation process of schools up to handing over ceremony to education department. • Monitoring vocational training centers supported by this NGO. • Managing special projects for example: Inauguration of completing projects, Free medical camp that treated over 4,500 patients and distributed medication. Organizational Background Diya Welfare Society (DWS) was registered in 1999 with the aim to improve the livelihood, Health and Education of the area by providing opportunities and empowering communities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. DWS is registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Act 1961 with Social Welfare Department.DWS, working since 1999, is a community based local organization. DWS was established with the aim; empowerment of women in their finances and skills, provision of health facilities, dissemination of both formal and informal education and provision of basic necessities’ to communities. DWS believes Education is for all. DWS is mostly run by volunteers and individuals donors and philanthropists with very few Donor agencies/institutional donors. DWS philosophy is to build a society where access to education and socioeconomic empowerment is not discriminated by cast, religion, gender and economic background.
