Data from these systems provide a much needed lift to our analytical models that in turn provide prescriptive and predictive recommendations to our farmer customers.Led go to market strategy of a smart soil sampling iOS app to reduce the number of soil sampling points by 20% that realized a savings of $1M.Architected a data communication platform to transfer data from on the go sensors into the cloud. This provided connectivity for sensors that had no other means for wireless data transfer. Strategized development of a hand held nitrate iOS app to increase accuracy of soil nitrogen advisor for farmers.POC'd multiple telemetry systems to select one that would transfer data at 90% ‘no loss’ from the field to the cloud. This would apply to US and international markets.

Led a team of 20 Automation Engineer with a $3M annual budget + $200K discretionary budget for licenses, IP, simulators, and various employee retention programs.Updated and introduced new agile project tracking (Jira), code repository (GitLab), user interface design (DevExpress + Axialis icon library), Team wiki (Sharepoint) and simulation tools for faster on boarding of new employees.Developed relationships with key personnel outside of immediate department such as UX, IT and IoT groups to meet company R&D mission statement of autonomously planting 1 million plots with Breeding planting equipment during the 2016 planting season. Worked with individual team members to develop their product lines respective system architectures and create documentation style guides to assist technical product support. These included planter, combine, field imaging, and chipping equipment roadmaps.Developed concept of a platform architecture (MICA = Monsanto Intelligent Control Architecture) and worked with team architect to establish roadmap for systematic module releases to be integrated within the various equipment software. Worked with Imaging and IoT teams to create and define hook ins to MICA to further enable seamless data transfer from machine to the cloud of high resolution images. This effort eliminated the use of USB sticks and Excel spreadsheets for data transfer that in turn eliminated man in the middle errors as well as reduced wait time for data availability for scientists to make seed advancement decisions.

- Responsible for all software and automation projects related to Blasthole and DTH drills across the world. - Managed an annual budget of $7.5M and 31 engineers (automation, design, sourcing, and manufacturing)- Developed a 5 year roadmap that would lead to a fully-autonomous blasthole drill rig. Fully autonomous requires multiple rig to rig decision making and no human onboard.Along with technical projects, I have also been facilitating projects with University of Florida through their IPPD program. 2011-2012: managed a group of 6 inter disciplinary students in providing Sandvik a solution for drill rig navigation in the absence of GPS signal. 2012-2013: led a group of mechanical engineering students to identify a hydraulic simulation software package for simulating our new generation drill rigs hydraulic circuit.2013-2014: working on a project that will innovate our drill rig's dust suppression system and help our customers meet MSHA and other standards for reducing dust pollution.2014-2015: Investigate the affect of excessive vibration on a drill rig due to the drilling process and recommend an algorithm that would reduce this harmonic. Systems Safety:• Application of functional safety standards IEC 61508. IEC 62061, and ISO 13849.• Application and facilitation of Fault Tree Analysis (to IEC 61025) and ICAM investigation and analysis.As a result of my team's initiatives, the company has realized sales in excess of $25M.
