Participated in an R&D effort to create a fully automated “lights out” Postal facility. The project involved the development of a mail-sorting machine that was fully operational without any human intervention. The concept was to extend the capabilities of existing mail-sorting equipment by adding automation to provide input (unsorted mail) to the machine and remove the output (sorted mail) from the machines.Worked with the Brazilian Postal agency (CORREIOS) in transforming their mail sorting and delivery operations. Customized a number of automated machines produced by Siemens to conform to the Brazilian Post requirements.
