Pre-opening Team Member. Joined as Chief Accountant and promoted to Assistant Financial Controller. • Responsible to support and liaise with the General Manager in meeting the strategic goals of the organization. • Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, operating results. • Monitor and improve hotels operation costs, profitability and manage business risks. • Processing and reviewing monthly closing and banking reconciliations.• Preparing and submitting Municipality, VAT and govt. related payments. • Managing and maintaining fixed assets register. Allocating and posting depreciation accordingly. • Analyzing cash-flows of the hotel to release the payments for suppliers as per the agreements. • Ensure that Finance teams are providing month end closing and all other required management reports. • Working with the General Manager to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals within the hotel. • Preparing owner’s capital reviews for Owner and General Manager’s requirement. • Develop best practice financial accounting, control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximize impact and efficiency. • Participates in the employee performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed. • Assisting Heads of the Department to improve their financial awareness and providing them with relevant financial information for their operations.
