As an Economics and Finance student at Cardiff University, I have developed my knowledge of financial concepts and methods of appraisal, alongside the application of mathematical models in policy evaluation. During my degree course, I have refined my analytical skills by evaluating a variety of economic policies and their outcomes, as well as project appraisal. I have also gained practical skills through working in a restaurant and a pub, where I learnt how to perform effectively under pressure, both independently and in a leadership role where I managed a cohesive team. Achieving Grade Eight in guitar helped me to develop commitment and time management skills, as I balanced it alongside my work and A level revision, where I achieved three A grades. My skills have been improved by working in a practical environment on my placement year in finance for Danone where I have had the opportunity to excel. My aptitude for finance coupled with my pragmatic skills makes me an asset to any team.
