Worked on Order Management Application for one of the biggest Telecom Provider of India. The application is used in the Customer’s OSS stack, which caters to the Telecom related requirements for big enterprises and government agencies in India. The application is developed using the Oracle’s Order Service Manager (OSM) Application, which is the one of the renowned COTS product available in the market to aid the faster delivery of an order management system for Telecom providers. The application manages the order fulfilment functions required to complete an order created in a customer relationship management (CRM) system, or other order-source system.Roles and Responsibilities• systems OSM Cartridge Development to receive and recognize customer orders and coordinate the actions to fulfill the order line items across provisioning, shipping, inventory, billing and other fulfillment.• Developed standard industry based (SOAP xml over JMS/SOAP XML over HTTP) interfaces as part of the application to interact with different systems. • Saxon based XQuery implementation is done for translating the messages coming from CRM system to the format exposed by different external systems. • The design for different products offered by customer, functions to be supported for various types of customer orders is done using the Eclipse IDE based OSM Design studio. • Oracle 11g database server is used for storing the data and is deployed on Oracle’s Web logic server. • Setting of JMS queues, bridges and data sources.• Define the Processes and Tasks, data requirements, and system interface requirements to fulfill an order• Designing XSDs, XMLs and XSLs for Data Modeling as part of Cartridge Development.• Creation of Web logic deployment Environment that includes creation of Queues for OSM and eCRM for JMS integration.
