As founding team member of the ACM SIGCHI IIT Kanpur Chapter, I participate & work on initiatives to advance Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and leverage technology for societal betterment. The key projects that I supervised include the following:- UnMute Project: Funded by EPSRC and led by the University of Edinburgh and Swansea University, in collaboration with Translators Without Borders and Auris Tech, this project addresses barriers in speech and voice-based interactions for digitally marginalized populations, aiming to develop solutions for low or zero-resource language communities.- Jal Jeevan Mission Collaboration: Developed an ML-based app to detect water leakage, contributing to significant water savings and potentially serving thousands.- AstroDesign Odyssey: Organized with Techkriti, this Human-Centric Design contest saw participation from over 50 colleges, including international students, and featured a pre-contest workshop on HCI applications.- Saathi: An app designed to empower underprivileged children to learn basic math and English, enhancing their educational opportunities.- Samvaad Saathi: A regional language chatbot for Indic languages, aimed at improving accessibility and communication for native speakers.Additionally, we have hosted multiple awareness sessions and meetups to discuss HCI use cases and inspire more individuals to pursue courses and projects in HCI. Through these efforts, we continue to drive innovation and promote HCI awareness within our community

Objective• Conduct comprehensive analyses to support investment decisions by performing SWOT analyses, evaluating competitorproducts, and executing both external and internal analyses of startups, aiming to identify high-potential investmentopportunities.Approach• Conducted detailed SWOT analyses to assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of various startups,providing a strategic framework for evaluating their market positioning and growth potential.• Evaluated competitor products to understand market trends, identify competitive advantages, and determine areas fordifferentiation, contributing to informed investment decisions.• Carried out thorough external analysis of market dynamics and internal analysis of startups’ operations, financial health,and business models, delivering actionable insights to support venture capital investments.• Leveraged data visualization tools to create impactful visuals, enhancing communication of analytical findings

Objective • Improve the existing automated pick and place product by developing a OpenCV based Computer vision algorithm toreduce the time taken by product to perform pick and place operations of SMT components.Approach• Utilized color and shape-based contour tracking for image capture and used Canny edge detection for real-time seg-mentation of SMT component image and leveraged numpy library for orientation measurement of SMT components.• Improved the orientation measurement accuracy of the algorithm by testing it in real-time and optimizing the parametersiteratively.Output • Enhanced product efficiency by significantly reducing the time required for automated pick-and-place operations bymore than 50% and achieved an accuracy of 97.82% by testing the algorithm on around 2000+ different components.

Backtested a portfolio of 16 Indian stocks across Oil Gas, Pharma, and Banking sectors, using 1-year 15-minute frequency data.• Implemented trading algorithms using RSI, Bollinger Bands for trend reversal, MACD, Signal Line for trend prediction.• Plotted buy and sell signals for each stock using Matplotlib to visualize algorithmic decisions.• RSI and Bollinger Bands performed better in range-bound stocks, yielding notable returns for Pharma (27.23%) and Identified MACDand Signal Line crossovers as effective for trending sectors Oil Gas (31.34%)
