Learned how to write a literature review based on peer-reviewed research. Compiled research about the use of aerogels as a thermal insulator in EV batteries. Learned about the many composites of aerogels, and their possible applicaitions in improving the safety electric vehicle lithium-ion batteries.

Supported the efforts of the Chief Technology Officer. Researched impacts of emerging photovoltaic solar technologies on solar cell efficiency. Created presentations to display the benefits and limitations of emerging solar technologies. Analyzed the features of samples sent to the company by vendors pitching various products. Found that half-cut cells and interdigitated back contacts (IBCs) were most applicable for solar roofing as they minimize the effects of shade on efficiency of the solar panel.
