The Deputy Director of Planning is a key leadership and management role in the department and in Baltimore County government. Together with the Director of Planning, I work closely with the department management team, County Council, and agency staff across multiple departments. As Deputy Director, I also represent Baltimore County and the department with a diverse range of external partners in other public, private, and community-based organizations. In this role, I also direct development, management, and implementation of programs, projects, and policies across a wide spectrum of subject matter areas including land use planning and policy, land preservation, commercial revitalization, as well as, community and urban planning. This position also plays a leadership role in shaping the department’s goals and in developing long term funding strategies.
