With over 20 years of experience in media relations and brand management, I am a senior communications professional who leads the external relations and strategy team at American Red Cross. I am responsible for developing and implementing effective and sophisticated media activities and web content that align with the organizational goals and vision.I have a proven track record of delivering impactful results in high-pressure situations, such as crisis situations, planned media campaigns, and national and international events. I leverage my broad knowledge of the news cycle and my established contacts across all media platforms to enhance the earned media impressions and reputation of American Red Cross. I also provide creative expertise and strategic guidance to the field communications and national media relations teams, which I previously headed for three years each. I am passionate about building dynamic relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including donors, partners, staff, and volunteers, and communicating the right story that showcases the humanitarian mission and values of American Red Cross.
