As Assistant Manager – Customer Service (Import), I am entrusted with the responsibility to provide quality services and documentation to meet customer requirement; manage global accounts and coordinating with sales. I am administering FOB bookings and MNC Freight Forwarders account and following up on outstanding invoices; maintaining a close coordination with overseas counterparts and local consignees for timely deliveries; corresponding with internal departments within to solve issues raised by customer viz for payment with finance and for evacuations of containers with operationsdepartment. Also I am handling cargo and damage claims, checking freight manifest and sending requests for corrector and maintaining a close follow up for finalization and closures; interfacing with customers for long standing boxes with consignee and coordinating with concerned desk for applicability of detention charge and necessary updation. Apart from this I am overseeing MIS, Freighting and Space Management; designing and implementing policies & procedures in conjunction with foreign counterpart.

As Senior Executive-Customer Service (Export), I managed freighting, bookings; provided schedule to customers and ensured adequate space availability for placing consignments; maintained a close follow-up with customers for new bookings, unutilized bookings; equipments and coordinated with overseas locations for nomination shipments. Also I prepared all concerned reports regarding bookings, vessel planning, deliveries, etc.; coordinated regarding consignment updates and maintained daily communication.

During my tenure I handled overall activities related to Customer services and documentation. I additionally functioned as ISO Coordinator and coordinated with overseas agents, managed documentation of the entire consignment process both export/import- air, sea for major corporate key accounts with personalised services individually. I was also instrumental in maintaining excellent customer relations and retention of existing customers and enhanced data by adding new clients;prepared various analytical reports and submitted to the management.
