I have worked on a number of projects within CHP, providing development, support, management and consultancy to the asset finance industry; as well as being a member of the R&D team with responsibility for creating new products and improving the existing ones. I have integrated ALFA, CHP's core product, with third party systems such as Experian for consumer credit risk and CAP for vehicle classification and valuations. I have also created clustered environments using JBoss EAP 6 in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers and used Atlasssian Bamboo as a continuous integration and delivery tool. Additionally, I have made useful contributions across a broad range of areas, covering: functional and technical specifications written by me, which provide a pipeline of work to the rest of the team; performance improvements; infrastructure stability and deliver internal training courses. Building and maintaining an industry-leading product capable of managing millions of complex contracts offers plenty of interesting technical challenges.

As a co-founder of a start-up, I came up with the idea of implementing an application to manage tournaments intended for organisations with less resources such as NGOs. I designed from scratch two scalable and high performance web-based applications offering a REST interface to stakeholders. The first solution architecture is based on Java using frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate. The second solution architecture is a responsive Single Page Application written completely in JavaScript and backed by a NoSQL database. Both applications are getting an average response time of 0.13 seconds with 30 marathons running simultaneously beating the 0.30 seconds of the current solution.

Being part of the Integration team for the Olympic Games and leading a team of 6 software engineers, I was responsible for the Olympic Data Feed (ODF) service, which distributed information from the Olympic Games in real-time all around the World through the Internet. Furthermore, I was the primary contact to resolve any issues regarding the service for customers like Olympic Broadcasting Services, National and International Sport Federations and World News Press Agencies like The New York Times, Reuters and AFP to name a few. The ODF service became a success and allowed millions of Internet users to access real-time updates of scores, results and information about athletes.

I was involved in the development of NGIN (Next Generation of Intelligent Networks), a full suite of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) bases fixed-mobile convergent services that include voice, messaging, presence and location among other features. Our main customer was the mobile network provider Vodafone in several countries like Spain, Czech Republic and Greece. As a Senior Software Engineer, I was able to gain experience in the Software Development Life Cycle and to develop new applications and features for use in production environments.

I contributed to the development of SISLOG (Logistic Systems), which tracked products from the production lines to clients' warehouse. I was responsible for the implementation of a new framework, based on Java, C/C++, Struts, Spring and Ajax, that was used by the development team.

As part of the R&D department I was involved in the design and implementation of a Time Statistic Unit, an electronic module that is included nowadays in many GSM/UMTS repeaters around Spain. This module generates statistics about the use of channels in Radio Base Stations and records all data in an internal flash memory. It also includes an embedded processor with a built-in web server that allows the collected data to be accessible from the Internet. The module is able to send an SMS with alerts when the Radio Base Station is close to its maximum capacity.
