• Support the Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) product and valuate IP portfolios of late-stage start up companies seeking investment funds using their IP as collateral.• Evaluate borrower companies' current patent portfolios for market fit, product alignment, support for their business and revenue projections. My team's analysis is used to justify an investment thesis and a valuation range.• Support the IP Risk and Liability Assessment (RA) product for companies ranging from startups to multi-billion-dollar corporations. Performed comprehensive analysis including both quantitative and qualitative approaches to create a risk profile for a candidate company and help them acquire an IP liability insurance at an economic premium.• Leverage my extensive IP knowledge to help build end-to-end IP strategies for candidate companies. This includes assessing a candidate company’s technical space, product and IP landscape, competitive market analysis and developing their prosecution, acquisition and assertion strategies.• Guiding AON’s data science group to build proprietary IP analytics tools to better valuate patent portfolios using natural language processing, machine learning and advanced statistical methodologies.

• Helped launch Finjan’s licensing program. This included, in-depth study of Finjan’s home grown patent portfolio, identifying relevant cybersecurity market space, the key players, their products and services and how they infringe.• Oversaw the production of all technical material, including proof packages demonstrating infringement of enterprise products and services to the Finjan’s cybersecurity portfolio, responding to tech rebuttals received from potential licensees. This included extensive and thorough research of tech material including, white papers, data sheets, source code (where available) and so on.• Lead technical discussions with prospective licensees (including product engineers, outside counsel and executive management) to facilitate a mutually agreeable licensing agreement.• Advised Finjan Mobile (a subsidiary of Finjan Holdings) on design and implementation of Finjan ‘s Mobile Products to practice some of Finjan’s core cyber-security patents. • Drafted Invention disclosures for patent applications. Conducted interview with inventors and conducted code review sessions.• Advised Finjan in the acquisition of the Finjan Blue portfolio. The Finjan Blue portfolio compliments Finjan’s home-grown cybersecurity patents and comprises of inventions in web application security and testing. This included in-depth study of the portfolio, the market adoption of the technologies and forecasting future trends.• Managed corporate relationships including multiple law firms, University partners and corporate funded research. Setup and managed Finjan’s reverse engineering lab. The lab team comprised of ethical hackers and university professors.• Trained and educated outside counsel, management, board members, tech transfer partners about the technologies in the patented inventions, their market relevance, current and forecasted adoption.

• Managed an extensive portfolio of internally owned software patents (4000 US grants) and mined said portfolio to find valuable patents to be used in licensing assertions, litigation efforts or divestitures. • Technically assessed externally owned patent portfolios to understand the novelty of the invention, validity, potential infringers, market impact and estimate value of the portfolio to made recommendations for patent acquisition. • Conducted extensive research to find evidence and create proof charts, reviewed prior art disclosures, technical rebuttals and prepare responses. • Researched company financials and revenue data to identify high revenue products for the purpose of patent assertion. • Build various licensing collateral for the sales team, including class code analysis, identification of foreign counterparts, identifying market trends and future tech landscape.

• Converted the company’s in-house legacy patent management database application from MS Access 2003 to Oracle APEX. • Implemented the patent management app using: Oracle APEX, Oracle 10gXE, SQL Developer, JDeveloper, Migration Workbench, SQLPLUS, HTML, and JavaScript. IV has actively used this tool for the purpose of vetting patent portfolios for acquisition.

• Identified and provided technical troubleshooting and resolutions for Enterprise Software Systems. • Isolated and debugged complex technical issues, including web applications, software services, software functionality, operating system configuration, installations and performance tuning.
