In this role, I will develop and champion cutting-edge learning experience vision and strategy for AMA Ed Hub; work collaboratively and leverage proven methods in learning design, user experience, and technology to deliver impactful learning experiences both on and off the AMA Ed Hub platform; develop and implement learning design strategy that is meaningfully integrated into practice, responsive to user behaviors and needs, and achieves learner and mission goals; lead team in advancement of user-centric design strategies and longitudinal learning development; and oversee team in the design, development, accreditation, and evaluation of education ensuring quality and relevance of the learning experience across educational modalities and formats.

• Led and developed six-person design team (including serving as hiring manager for two new members), implementing strengths-based professional development and a new system for team accountability and progress towards a shared vision (annual average team satisfaction increased over time from 3.8 to 4.6 out of 5.0)• Managed day-to-day operations and strategic relationships with internal staff and external vendors to ensure delivery of high-quality projects (120 to 150 courses a year), within scope (using newly development maintenance processes), on time (10-to-12-week cycles), and within budget (AY $800,000), while maintaining quality assurance and adhering to the university’s approach to online and blended modalities• Provided thought leadership to develop, pilot, implement, and assess innovative and culturally responsive approaches to high-impact learning experiences, teaching practices, and learning spaces (e.g., rapid training experiences and stackable credentials, competency-based learning, universal design, bi-modal and virtual learning modalities)• Collaborated with Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence to plan, deliver, and assess development opportunities for over 200 faculty, enabling them to pivot learning to fully online or a blended format with remote learning components, having little negative impact on student retention and achievement during the pandemic• Partnered with the university assessment council to conduct institutional assessment and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, making it possible for the university to maintain regional accreditation• Implemented technology solutions to increase accuracy of information across data systems (Smartsheet, Ellucian Banner, and our LMS) to support continuous improvement of curriculum, enhance project management (track key performance indicators and manage documentation), and promote automaticity of academic processes and sustainability of limited university resources
