Current-Awarded two Americorps grants to reduce barriers to volunteerism among underrepresented groups and increase the quality/quantity of service projects in postsecondary institutions-Train faculty in service-learning pedagogy and best practices to help them enrich their courses through MSU's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), Level Up: Experience your Future. -Facilitate the March to Service initiative to promote civic engagement through discipline-specific projects across the institution as part of MSU’s response to the Council on Postsecondary Education’s (CPE) Kentucky Graduate Profile. -Implement Make an Impact Day, a two-day service event, for 1,000+ first-year students to complete hands-on service projects and learn about campus/community organizations. -Chair committee for MSU's Carnegie Community Engagement reclassification efforts. -Coordinate Undergraduate Engagement Fellowship Program that provides funding for up to 4 students annually who are engaged in service to campus and community partners. -Created new opportunities to recognize students engaging in service through Presidential Community Engaged Eagles list and Community and Civic Engagement Awards. -Implement two-prong strategy to promote data collection of engagement at an institutional level through the Community Engagement Survey and annual, departmental assessments. -Deliver presentations related to service learning and engagement to over 50 students annually. -Support students to participate in volunteering through individual meetings and posting service opportunities through Eagle CareerNet on a regular basis.
