At the age of 14, I coded my first web page using HTML. I was immediately hooked to the idea of being able to make a website and have people on the internet see what I had created. I had no idea at the time, but this initial fascination with the web would grow and serve as the cornerstone for my professional life. Now, over 25 years later, the basics of self-taught web design has evolved into experiences with front-end development, email marketing, and customer service.These experiences led me to the realization that one of my greatest joys comes from knowing that what I do is important and has a positive impact on people's lives. This drives me and reminds me that when customers and end users see the result of my work, it has to be complete, accurate, and easy to understand. In the cases of customer service scenarios, I pride myself on being able to remain calm in high pressure situations and communicate clearly with users until all of their questions are answered correctly or resolved.In my spare time, I volunteer with my son's high school band and serve on the Band Boosters' Executive Board. As a former "band kid" myself, this is a role I take very seriously, because I know the benefits of a school band program. Students learn the importance of dedication, discipline, individual responsibility, time management, working as a team, and being able to overcome adversity. So now, it's a wonderful feeling to be able to support the young musicians in my community and give back to the same organization that helped establish the foundation of who I am today.
