    - Conceptual design lead- CAD/CAM with simulations and animations in ProE/Creo- Presentations for Preliminary, Conceptual, Final and competition design reviews.I developed the original design concept, guided the design approach, and generated the CAD. I owned the mechanical function of the robot. The project was to build a robot to cast a 5 oz lure into a hula-hoop from a distance of 10 feet. Additionally, the highest award would also go to the robot that could achieve the longest distance cast. We developed a robot that consistently cast the lure a specified distance. The distance was input using a smart phone application. The user would input a distance from 10' to 120' in increments of 10 feet into the application, and the robot would cast the lure within 5 feet of that distance. We took the top award for design and casting distance. Our robot weighed a little over 15 lb. and cost $200 in total while our closest competitor's robot weighed 85 lb and cost more than $500 to build.
