• Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate finance and accounts function;• Responsible for general ledger, accounts payables, accounts receivable, credit control, payroll and other finance and accounts functions; • Make financial and operational decisions, manage cash flows and negotiate with banks and financial institutions;• Review, finalize and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to the requirements of IAS, IFRS and local regulations;• Prepare and submit reports (trends, budget analysis and forecasting) on financial and operational performance, to internal and external auditors, executive leadership team and regulatory authorities;• Preparation of projected accounts and feasibility studies of new projects and be an advisor to the Board and Executive Committee from the financial and taxation perspective on any contracts and arrangements;• Design and implement internal controls at organization level to optimize performance, obtain economy of scale, compliance with company policies, local laws and regulations;• Supervise all taxation matters e.g. direct and indirect taxes, custom duties and other taxes on import and export according to the requirements of laws as applicable in Pakistan;• Preparation of monthly segment accounts and various MIS reports for strategic management to facilitate the decision making process;• Coordination and communication with external auditors for conducting annual statutory audits and half yearly reviews;• Evaluate the finance division structure for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide team members with growth opportunities, wherever possible;• Responsible for correspondence with Government, different regulatory authorities and other business concerns;

⦁ Preparation of periodic reports for the Board Audit Committee covering significant findings of the audit, management response and subsequent follow-up. ⦁ Planning and conducting financial, operational and management audits covering various aspects of business in light of Company policies, procedures and applicable laws, identify instances of non-compliance, irregularities, control weaknesses and suggest improvements thereon. ⦁ Preparation of Quality Manual, Quality Plans, Quality Objectives and Standard Operating Procedures and other documentation for the Corporate Audit Department required under ISO Programmes. ⦁ Periodic reviews of softwares during various stages of development and implementation to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the system controls including Computerized Maintenance Management Software

• Statutory audits which included analysis and reviews of financial statements including cash flow statements of various clients. Scope of work included ensuring compliance with management policies, identification of weaknesses in the system and examining financial statements to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and International Accounting Standards (IAS) and local reporting framework.• Internal audits which included planning, understanding the business, scoping and assessing the key risks, performing the audit and developing improvement plans.• Compilation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS as applicable in Pakistan and Companies Ordinance 1984 while assessing various areas of financial statements such as employee benefits, taxation, foreign currency transactions etc.• Documentation and review of system and policies which included preparation of system documentation in the form of transaction flow reviews (TFR), policies and procedures manuals, segregation of duty (SOD) matrices; carrying out detailed risk and control evaluation for significant business processes and development of initiatives / recommendations to rectify any control gaps identified.• Performance and technical audits which included assessment of effectiveness, efficiency and economy with which resources were utilized.• Compliance with applicable statutory legislatures including the Companies Ordinance 1984, Code of Corporate Governance, Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Listing Regulations etc.
