Currently, I manage the Safety Rules Management system for all five power stations, associated utilities, and the 11kV to 220kV grid network at Aluminium Bahrain Power Group. My responsibilities involve analyzing Safety Rules, related documents, and practices to identify and address gaps in the practical application of the Safety Management System. I conduct audits, provide training and education to team members, and lead refresher courses for Safety Rules Authorizations. Additionally, I am a member of the Safety Authorization Panel and a task force responsible for implementing the Nisoft E-permit system.

In this role, I led the safe and efficient operation of the power plant, consistently achieving key performance indicators such as availability, reliability, efficiency, generation, and cost targets. I managed the development of the operations team, driving training initiatives and succession planning to maintain a skilled and resilient workforce. In collaboration with the General Manager of Operations, I provided technical support, prepared detailed reports, and managed budgets effectively.The Plant facility comprised Two power Trains, each equipped with Siemens dual-fuel gas turbines and Siemens steam turbines on single shaft and Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) units. In my role as an authorized Safety Controller, I ensured strict compliance with safety rules and site proceduresI was accountable for implementing and overseeing the work permit system under Safety Rules, developing related protocols, and delivering comprehensive training to staff. I established and maintained Safe Systems of Work, ensuring rigorous compliance with site protocols related to safety, environmental standards, and equipment integrity. Additionally, I led the department during insurers' and lenders' audits and coordinated with external stakeholders for outage planning. I acted as a Senior Authorized Person and Safety Coordinator, I also fulfilled shift responsibilities as needed to support business operations

During my tenure, I led a multinational shift team responsible for operating a 2000MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power station, ensuring strict adherence to environmental and operational standards. My leadership contributed to maintaining high health, safety, and environmental standards, earning the plant prestigious accolades, including the RoSPA Gold Medal since 2016.The complex facility comprised three power blocks, each equipped with Siemens dual-fuel gas turbines, Fuji steam turbines, and Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) units. In my role as an authorized Safety Controller, I ensured strict compliance with safety rules and site procedures.I was also responsible for implementing and maintaining Safe Systems of Work, ensuring compliance with site-specific procedures and coordinate with external stakeholders for outage planning. Additionally, I conducted internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems, processes, and work practices.

I joined the 220MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) operated by KESC shortly after its commercial operation date, initially as Assistant Shift Manager. In this role, I served as a Senior Authorized Person, collaborating with the Shift Manager to ensure the plant’s economic and reliable operation. I focused on team development through training, developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize operations, and managed 220KV GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear) switching and operation.Promoted to Manager Shift in February 2011, I led the operations shift team, overseeing compliance with regulations, conducting engineering investigations, and ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective plant operations. I aligned workflows with planning needs, resolved defects, and maintained safety protocols for High Voltage 220KV GIS switching

I served as a Commissioning Engineer for Electrical and C&I with METKA on a significant project involving a Combined Cycle Power Plant. The plant included multiple aeroderivative gas turbines, a steam turbine, and HRSG, along with essential components like fuel gas compressors and an RO plant. My role encompassed commissioning electrical equipment and auxiliaries, particularly focusing on HRSG instrumentation and electrical components. Collaborating with technical experts from GE, Flotech, IEG SA, and HIMA SA, I conducted troubleshooting and commissioning tasks. Additionally, I managed plant operations during the project phase, overseeing contractual tests and ensuring reliability, while also monitoring performance throughout the warranty period.
