I have over 30 years of international board level, executive management and senior consulting experience in blue-chip companies, SMEs and start-ups, in both the private and public sectors.Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to sit on a number of boards, as president, executive director and advisor. My contribution to the board is most often associated with corporate growth transition and/or transformation, and varies according to the type of organization, its stage of development, and the industry in which it operates. I add value by providing a broad perspective of a company’s issues and protecting shareholders’ interests through an integrated, cross-functional, cross-business risk management & risk mitigation approach. I bring a broad, detached perspective, tapping into decades of hands-on experience obtained in other industries, organizational types (scale, level of maturity) and cultures. Where required, I fill-in expertise gaps at executive and senior management levels. My approach is always pragmatic, mature and grounded, utilising solid analytical reasoning, mental flexibility, and strong decision-making and shareholder and stakeholder communication skills.I also take on programme & project management roles, having instigated, overseen &/or managed-to-completion a wide variety of strategic initiatives (few £10K to10M+ in size, and cross-disciplinary, cross-business & multinational / cultural in nature) driven by, amongst others: - Research, technology development, transfer & commercialization - Organizational growth, restructuring, development & change- Core system implementation- Merger & acquisitionI am PRINCE2 certified and practiced in a variety of waterfall and (hybrid) agile methodologies. I have an MBA in Strategy & Organizational Development, and a PhD & BSc in PhysicsI am a dual UK / EU national with decades of experience living & working internationally.
