I was tasked with transforming the Hungarian Society at the University of Warwick (around 120 members) into an active and healthy community through promoting participation in team sports. The society actively participated in basketball, football and volleyball events during this time and even arranged its own events to let members make bonds while exercising. Students of other nationalities were also welcome to such events and could learn about the culture of the country from their Hungarian counterparts. Prior to this role, I was the captain of the 5-as-side football team of the society for the prior 2 years and extended this role into setting up an 11-a-side football team in the intramural Saturday League and acting as the team manager. A kit sponsorship deal was also reached with New Generation Centre UK toward the end of my time as sports officer, providing my successors with a set of high-quality kits.

In this role, I was tasked with editing a matchday programme of around 44-48 pages for each home game of Banbury United FC. The programme consisted of adverts and information regarding the game and the teams involved. The editing process required the use of MS Excel, Word and Adobe Photoshop. I had to tailor the product to suit the needs of the directors, supporters and sponsors. This was also a brilliant opportunity to gain an in-depth insight into how a community-owned football club operates.

Played for the men's football team at Warwick University for a year. This experience improved not only my leadership and teamwork but my communications skills and time management as well.
