At Roomr I'm heading mostly our AI R&D to take interior design to the next level.At Speech Graphics, I led (and now keeping an eye on) the move to the cloud (XaaS) to elevate AIs from tools to companions, infusing technology with psychology. I was also instrumental in establishing our Budapest office. Quick history : After the university where I wrote defense mechanisms against computer viruses, I spent- 5 years in Tokyo, Japan working for CSK, Microsoft and SEGA (worked on NT, prototyped a Virtual Reality game, wrote simulations for 3 arcade games ).- In 1996 I went to work for Alias|Wavefront in Toronto, Canada, on polygon manipulations / translations in Power Animator and Maya.- In 1998 I started as the first engineer at PlayStation US R&D. Until 2012, I worked as Director of Distributed Technologies that included graphics (COLLADA, PSGL) and a lot of network related technologies (advertising, telemetry, PVRs) for the Playstation2/3/4, PSP and Vita platforms. Platform security was occupying most of my time before I left Sony.- In 2012 I took on new challenges, working with Hong Kong and Taipei directly, introducing SDLC and setting directions.- During my stay in Berlin working as CTO, I designed a secure communication system.- Before joining Speech Graphics, I was working on self driving cars (radar actuations) at Cruise (a GM Company). I am comfortable with both low- and high-level coding for both experimentations and product development, but my expertise lies in setting visions, missions, directions and executing on those with different groups. I also enjoy managing partnerships and connecting with clients. I strongly believe that leading engineers effectively requires a great vision and an attainable product target. I always aim to be familiar with the tools my engineers use, let that be cloud configuration, AI fine tuning, coding in GO or C++, or even embedded RTOS for ARM7. I am also a firm believer of the "a business's business is business..."Specialties: Technical leadership, Research and Development (45 patents), innovations, software development, embedded systems (hardware design, RTOS, MISRA), technical plans and evaluations, working close with project/product management, software security and advocating the importance of human behavior / perception in all UI/UX. I am a citizen of the EU and the USA and a UK Pre-Settled Status holder.

It involves everything; from funding, to designing, manufacturing (CH to US), testing, marketing and sales.Initially targeted Covid-19, but now advanced beyond. To do this is no small feat, as there are so many wrong ones out there that people are disappointed and jaded. Vaccination started alleviating some of the needs for masks, but we don't want to get caught with our pants down again, when the mutations show up. So, I took a job as an engineer, as that's the best way to discover the nuts and bolts. Since promoting from within was not the preferred way at the time at Cruise (and I was also hoping to have changed courses on some of the technology choices), I left after discussions on how to possibly improve the organization. Nevertheless, it was amazing "Driving the Driverless Revolution..."- Taking this short-break from management, coding and designing in the trenches, focusing on Secure Firmware and Radar Actuations was fun and made sure that I keep my engineering skills sharp.
