Managing a caseload from drafting pleadings, communication with clients, discovery (propounding/responding), depositions, preparing and participating in mediations/settlement conferences/arbitration, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and multi-day trials. My civil litigation practice assists me in handling complex family law cases including high-conflict cases, cases requiring a trial, or high asset cases that involve deciphering the complexities of a business during a divorce.

Assisted firms on contract basis while studying for the Nevada Bar in representing clients in case management conferences, depositions, criminal readiness hearings, request for order hearings and multiple day trials in family court. Drafted pleadings, motions and trial briefs.

Responsible for and managed a caseload of 80+ family law cases from all stages of litigation from petitions, pretrial motions (Request for Orders), discovery, Mandatory Settlement Conferences, mediation and trial. Assisted in criminal cases by attending readiness hearings and negotiating with the District Attorney and attending sentencing hearings. Attended immigration hearings with clients such as master calendar hearings and naturalization interviews.

Drafted pleadings, correspondence (opinion/meet and confer letters) and internal memorandum on tight deadlines. Analyzed contracts, medical records and document productions. Observed depositions conducted by partners and drafted deposition summaries. Conducted in-depth Westlaw research in various areas, including personal injury, California education code and employment law.

Conducted intakes of new clients with wage and hour claims and unemployment insurance appeals. Prepared filings by fact gathering from clients and their witnesses and conducting legal research. Prepared clients for their hearings and represented clients for their Labor Commissioner hearings.

Researched Chile's Labor Law with an emphasis on their national conciliation program and observed Chile's labor alternative dispute resolution programs.
