I transferred into the legal division to work as a full-time attorney. In this role, I serve as one of the lead attorneys to handle Federal personnel/employment law, ethics, and contracts. I litigate cases before EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) and MSPB (Merit Systems Protection Board), as well as policy writing and review. Additionally, I am involved heavily in research and writing legal opinions, as well as focused on high-level investigations while advising on procurement matters and $1M+ contract reviews. Last, I am an expert on ethics matters, rendering advise and counsel to leadership on all ethical issues.

I provided a full range of consultative services concerning civil law matters. I effectively and successfully negotiated settlement agreements, provided full representative services on behalf of clients to include litigation, research, and writing legal documents that resulted in favorable results for clients.

I performed as the director and advisor for employee relations, suitability, security, benefits, and compensation program, leading a team of 4 to execute agency and division objectives. I effectively managed the entire employee relations department concerning all agency conduct and performance issues, made sure all policies were updated, implemented processes to ensure 100% compliance.

I was the employee relations expert, earning a promotion to focus on labor relations while also continuing to oversee employee matters. I performed as a Human Resources Specialist responsible for compliance and support of employee relations programs. I counseled and advised managers and supervisors on matters relating to disciplinary and adverse actions, performance management, leave administration, FMLA, appeals, and grievances. I conducted fact-finding investigations on administrative matters which included harassment claims, misconduct, hostile work environment, etc. I reviewed and analyzed evidence of misconduct to make appropriate disciplinary determinations utilizing Agency and Federal guidelines. I drafted disciplinary proposals and decisions on behalf of managers and assisted managers with administering discipline.
