I am an experienced litigator and trial attorney, having completed more than 60 jury trials primarily in the areas of commercial construction disputes, employment, real estate disputes, and contract claims. Trying a case in front of jury is a unique skill. No matter who ends up on a jury, I work hard to find something in common with the jurors when presenting my clients’ cases. Through the years, I have represented a large array of businesses in complex commercial litigation matters. With a strong expertise in construction, I have helped industry clients resolve their business challenges in areas such as mechanics leans, bond claims, and stop notices. I also know that employment issues can be problematic to clients in any business and have experience resolving disputes ranging from harassment to wage and hour issues. I was a business owner for more than 10 years before becoming an attorney, so when a client discusses his or her business, I can think like an owner, as well as an attorney. I work closely with clients to develop a deep understanding of their businesses in order to set appropriate strategies to resolve their problems. Understanding their goals and objectives provides a client-centric rubric to meet their business objectives and concerns. My clients are my friends, and my goal is to resolve issues for my friends as quickly and inexpensively as possible, even if it means referring them to another firm or encouraging them not to litigate.
