I worked at the Drum through a very difficult situation where the organisation was operating with deficits. I took over the finances and introduced controls and new budgeting methods which secured surpluses each year. New systems, processes and knowledge has helped the charity build its unrestricted reserves to the recommended level (Charity Commission).The work the Drum was doing was a major factor to why i took on the role and helping the local community where it was based was a major influence.The Drum has all the qualities and ambitions to become a driving force in the Aston and surrounding areas.Helping young people and also listening to their customers makes them stand out from others.May successes continue.

A charity with a turnover of over £6 million pounds and three sites when i left. I started working for the charity when it was formally known as CEDC and had 18 staff and a turnover of £500,000.I headed the finance department over the 10 years i was there and build a solid financial control system. I also looked after the IT section in the early years before sub contracting the work out.
