USAIDs' South Asia Regional Energy Hub (SAREH), is a mechanism that supported USAID in all its regional hub activities under the Asia EDGE in South Asia covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. For 2 years until March 2022, SAREH was implemented by United States Energy Association (USEA) through Sannam S4 Management Services, New Delhi, India office.In April 2022 SAREH was handed over to USAID's South Asia Regional Energy Partnership Program to carry forward.My key responsibilities as a Program Manager included:• Identify, establish and maintain relationships with key representatives in governments in South Asia and stay abreast of their support needs and participation in USAID/SAREH activities• Identify support needs and develop new entry points within SAREH countries, including developing a network of partners, other donor agencies, energy stakeholders and association networks• Design strategy proposals for technical assistance, studies and capacity building programs on SAREH/USEA’s energy initiatives and provide strategic support to other USAID programs in South Asia.• Development of knowledge platform to upscale capacity for South Asia energy stakeholders.• Support the USAID/USEA/SAREH Communications Team in identifying stories of success and progress from South Asian country partnerships.• Procurement management including but not limited to tender document preparation, bids evaluation, bid approval documentation for USEA/USAID, subcontractor overseeing and monitoring. • Program planning, MEL and reporting of all activities and achievements to USAID, USEA and other USGs.

I was responsible for program management and the implementation of the activities assigned to the European Union-India Technical Cooperation Project funded PV Rooftop Cell, which acted as a task force to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), India. I provided strategic research, coordination, planning, advocacy, and communications support to MNRE, allocated state electricity distribution companies and nodal agencies in developing rooftop solar PV schemes, policy reforms, project implementation procedures, IT frameworks, project reports, technical concept notes, request for proposals, tender documents, and agreements. Furthermore, I, also developed and organized over 25 major capacity-building programs attended by over 1500 officers of state nodal agencies, solar power developers/installers & electricity distribution companies across India in cooperation with EU and Indian partners.The European Union-India Technical Cooperation Project got successfully concluded in January 2021 with the handover of the PV Rooftop Cell to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India.Major Clients Assisted: - The Delegation of the European Union to India and Bhutan- Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, India- PEDA and PSPCL, Government of Punjab- GEDA and EDG, Government of Goa- IPGCL, BRPL, BYPL, TPDDL, NCT of Delhi- MSEDCL, AEPL, TPML, BEST, Maharashtra- Solar Energy Corporation of India- International Solar Alliance (ISA)- Asian Development Bank (Solar Rooftop Program)

PV Rooftop Cell was formed under the "European Union - India Technical Cooperation - Energy Project" in the year 2016. The cell acts as a task force that assist the development of Grid Connected Rooftop Solar and Small Power Plant Programme of Govt. of India.• Program Management• Close cooperation with RE State Nodal Agencies, PSUs and RTS stakeholders;• Assisting communication via MNRE PV Rooftop Cell;• Providing solutions for specific problems/issues pertaining to the implementation of the Grid-Connected Solar Rooftop and Small Solar Power Plant programme implementation PAN India;• Technical Assistance in development of standard procedures, technical standards for RTS installation, IT tools for stakeholder information, process management and monitoring, stakeholder consultations etc.;• Organisation of workshops, trainings and webinars supporting the implementation and promotions of the National PV Rooftop Program;• Representation of the MNRE at State and National level workshops and conferences.
