At HCL, I- Was responsible for creation of Progress 4GL Utility programs to cater to Business Requirements for providing ad hoc information from source Progress 4GL database, through use of advanced Progress 4GL concepts such as Prodatasets, Dynamic Queries, etc.- Creation of UNIX shell scripts, which call Progress 4GL programs to perform RDBMS querying, validation and logging, to take care of automation and logging of errors during high volume data transactions- Worked in Data Warehousing Projects for the Customer, mainly responsible for extraction of data from QAD ERP- Was responsible for creation of Integration Mapping documents helping map the source and target fields and transformations- Was responsible for Installation of QAD's Integration framework, responsible for the QAD extraction architecture using QAD QXtend- Was responsible for Progress Admin activities such as maintenance of Appservers, Progress Databases, Tomcat, etc- Was involved in creation of RFP (Request for Proposal) documents, and helping HCL acquire projects in the QAD/Progress domain

At Visteon, I- Was responsible for providing direct support to end users for any Production issues pertaining to Progress 4GL customizations from areas like Distribution, Sales, Manufacturing, Inventory, Finance and Data Interfacing- Providing ad hoc data to end users and Business Analysts by writing Progress 4GL procedures/queries/extracts to query the back end database and fetch results in the most effective way- Was responsible for the support of critical ERP Interfaces- Develop and deploy new Interfaces helping exchange data between multiple applications including QAD ERP- Performing and Co-ordinating Progress 4GL RDBMS admin related activities with DBAs – ensure database performance and scripting Monitoring Tools for ensuring up time for Progress 4GL application servers, Tomcat, and other running services- Was responsible for QAD Application Support- Use of XML and Progress SAX writer, Progress Datasets for Data migration and high volume Data Load activities, as part of new site launches- Work extensively with the EAI team (JCAPS/JMS) to ensure smooth support for all the Progress 4GL Interfaces programmed to transfer data between applications that the organization uses- Use of Web Services for synchronous transfer of messages between applications- CVS checks-in, Peer-review of Progress 4GL code to ensure coding standards are being followed- Working on the CVS Implementation project to help developers use the tool for efficiently handling Progress 4GL codes and Releases
