Looking after Mumbai Metro Rail line, (Line 6) and Aerocity to Tuglakbad (Golden line) projects in DMRCL

As Additional Secretary to Govt of India responsible for framing policy, its implementation on Railways network in India with respect to Track, its components, replacement, inspection regime, development, adoption and procurement.Evolution of quality control regime, maintenance strategies, financing and resourcing. Providing support and vision to Indian Railways for up-gradation of speeds on existing network, Assessment of requirement of high speed network its viability, resourcing and implementation mechanism.

Controlling and monitoring as Head of Department in the jurisdiction spanning about 2350 Route Km of North Central Railways- all functions related to Station redevelopment, property development, commercial utilization of Railway land including licensing/leasing. Policies, implementation and monitoring of contracts, budgeting, Passenger Amenities, Quality control, World class station, Multi functional complexes, E-working, Innovation, modernization and technical advancement in related field

Responsible for successful planning, execution, budgetary control and timely completion of World bank financed - INR 4760 Crore (Multicurrency) D&B project, involving construction of 353 Km double line including Operational Control center, for carriage of Heavy Haul Freight Rail traffic in most efficient and faster manner. It involved planning, designing, construction scheduling and resourcing, required for time bound completion of CIVIL, System works for 353 Km and Operational Control Center, for entire Eastern DFC of 1800 km as per guidelines and norms set by International funding agency and safety stipulations under FIDIC contract conditions. • Design approvals of Civil, Track, Buildings, Bridges, Electrical, Traction, POS, E&M, Signaling, Electrical, Telecom, SCADA To International Standards.• Managing International Project Monitoring Consultant.• Managing International Quality & Safety Audit Consultancy Contract as per stipulation of World bank for the above work.• Monitoring International Independent Safety Assessment (International) contract for the above work.• Construction of OCC, administrative office, utilities buildings and station buildings.• Challenges of Land acquisition of 1408.19 Hectare of land & Relief and Rehabilitation to 34000 Project affected persons.• Forest & NGT clearances, other Social & Environmental clearances, Utilities shifting of Railways and Non Railway organizations• Compliance to various World bank, Indian Railways and other statutory bodies’ Norms.• Establishing system of Operation and Maintenance, involving various disciplines of Railway working i.e., Operation, Track, bridges and buildings, Overhead electrical, traction power supply and SCADA, Signaling and telecom, Mechanical and safety, Human resources, Security and financial controls etc.• Commissioning and post Commissioning of the Project and Negotiating and approving Variations and Disputes & Arbitrations as per International Rules.
