Director Of Software Engineering
CurrentPrimary Responsibilities:1. Responsible for leading the Software Engineering teams based in USA and India overseeing the efficient management and coordination to support software development projects and technical change orders for deployed software in the field at high volume and scale.2. Develop and implement strategic plans for resource allocation and technical coordination to support EHR Engineering organization and NextGen's business objectives. 3. Lead a team of development managers, product managers and Program managers to ensure optimal allocation of technical resources across multiple projects to impeccable quality. 4. Provide visionary leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation to increase efficiency, maximize quality and optimize delivery timelines for customers. 5. Serve as the primary point of escalation for quality, delivery and resource-related issues and concerns. Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to discuss resource needs and availability. 6. Ensure clear and effective communication and project expectations to team members. 7. Track and report on resource allocation, utilization, and project progress, providing regular updates to senior leadership. 8. Identify and implement best Software Engineering practices, leveraging industry standards and innovative approaches. 9. Evaluate and enhance tools and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. 10. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the EHR Engineering Organization. 11. Provide inputs for budget preparation and management, ensuring efficient use of resources. 12. Mentor and support team members, sharing expertise and knowledge and technical coordination. 13. Develop and implement career development plans for staff, fostering high engagement and professional growth. 14. Support new team members in understanding their roles and responsibilities within the organization.
