Project Title: Managing Diameter Signaling Router DevelopmentScope: The 3GPP Evolved Packet Core (EPC) network architecture has specified the use of Diameter over SCTP for many of its interfaces, the most prominent of which is the S6a interface between the MME and HSS. The MME-HSS interface is a many-to-many interface, leaving each endpoint (MME or HSS) with the task of supporting many SCTP associations and all routing, traffic management, and load sharing implementation on its own.The DSR is introduced as a core Diameter signalling and routing element into operators’ LTE and IMS networks. This architecture allows the EPC/IMS network to grow systematically in response to ever increasing LTE/IMS service demands. The DSR abstracts Diameter signalling and routing into a separate signalling layer. The DSR serves primarily as a Diameter relay agent, with value added applications and capabilities which are not defined by the IETF or 3GPP specifications. There are numerous short and long term advantages to deploying the DSR to create an independent signalling control plane:- Alleviation of issues related to limited signalling (SCTP association) capacity on MMEs, HSSs, and other Diameter endpoints- Ease of operation: when adding new endpoints, routing configuration changes only have to be performed on the DSR. The addition of new endpoints will be completely transparent to existing endpoints.- Reliability: geographically diverse redundancy implementation- Protocol mediation: smoother interoperability between different endpoint vendors- Improved scalability- Centralized place to perform HSS address resolution, based on either IMSI or public identity (IMS SLF)- Centralized point for Diameter signalling monitoring to isolate problems, gain network intelligence, and track key performance indicators

Project Title: Managed and executed Plumbing Separation Framework DevelopmentScope: Plumbing Separation provides the layered architecture to Telecom Protocols so that they can be written with standard approach and communicate within their layers using the provided message queuing sub system. This used the industry standard ACE library framework to manage the resources like threads, timers, message queues. This framework also provides interface to In-Memory Database to store data which can be accesses at a high speed in Telecom Protocol/Applications. It also provides support for raising Alarms and Events to detect the problems in time.

Project Title: AppWorks Framework DevelopmentScope: AppWorks framework provides a platform for various applications to install over it and use its eminent features like alarms/events, logging, measurement report, multi-site topology configuration, High-availability configuration, database backup and restore, upgrade, networking configuration, transaction support and ISO distribution. Appworks also facilitates the user administration. It interfaces with various daemons like inetsync (to replicate data to child nodes), inetmerge (to collect data from child nodes), hacfgd (for HA configuration) and procmon (process manager) to implement various multisite configuration and provisioning functions.

Project Title: Tekcore/Appworks IMS and High availability DevelopmentScope: Appworks framework provides a platform for various applications to install over it and use its eminent features like alarms/events, logging, measurement report, multi-site topology configuration, High-availability configuration, database backup and restore. Appworks also facilitates the user administration. It interfaces with various daemons like inetsync (to replicate data to child nodes), inetmerge (to collect data from child nodes), hacfgd (for HA configuration) and procmon (process manager) to implement various multisite configuration and provisioning functions.TekCore is an application built on top of Appworks framework. It has sub-modules like Configuration, Routing, Subscribers, DNS etc.
