Manage legislative team responsible for driving policy decisions and developing communications and legislative agendas; successfully achieved high priority projects by coordinating the activities of staff members in the district and Washington offices. Work extensively on annual appropriations bills by fielding outside requests, coordinating with committee staff, developing appropriations priorities and preparing statements and questions for committee activity during the drafting and enactment of all 12 spending bills.

Research, analyze and drive policy recommendations and outreach on legislative issues relating to the federal budget, homeland security, veterans, taxes, trade, immigration, gun control, judicial matters, financial regulations, economy, telecom and science. Responsible for managing over 15 meetings a week to hear legislative concerns and issues of importance to federal agencies, trade groups, constituents, universities and businesses; majority of meetings were with high level individuals including federal Secretaries, Administrators and Directors along with CEOs, presidents and other top level business and trade group executives.
