Aubrey Botha is a seasoned socio economic strategist and entrepreneur. He is the founder of ICE Media Holdings a company focused on internet service provision, communications, electronics and media solutions to digitally marginalised communities in South Africa. In recognition of his developmental work in the areas of marketing and content development he was offered a directorship in F.I.L.M SA a developmental body comprising off the 5 biggest film servicing companies in South Africa. In 2016 he Co-Founded Mzansi Digital Republic Trust a not for profit trust focused on digital and financial inclusion and a key implementation partner to the Western Cape Governments Broadband strategy. Aubrey is credited for the development of the first self-sustainable and economically viable public Wi-Fi network business model in South Africa. He is the author of a white paper on The Unlocking of the Knowledge Based Economy for Historically Disadvantaged Communities for the Western Cape Government.
