Leading a 12-country study on the gender-differentiated effects of natural resource governance to aid the Open Government Partnership and World Bank in helping countries create legislation that promotes equity for women and gender minorities. Work products include peer-reviewed reports, video documentaries, blog posts, webinars, and conference presentations.

Aubrey worked on projects to help countries govern their extractive sectors better. She worked with the U.S. Department of Interior's to implement the United States' participation in the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI). She researched the laws governing natural resources and the discovery, implementation, and reclamation processes for extraction on federal lands. She researched and wrote content for extractive transparency reports and helped develop interactive content for the U.S. Department of Interior's website promoting extractive transparency. Aubrey served as the Operations Lead for a five-year $45 million U.S. Department of State BPA, which covered 39 energy governance projects in 34 countries. She managed account operations and ensured consistency and quality in deliverables across projects. She traveled to Ukraine to train subcontractors in Deloitte's deliverable preparation and contract processes. Aubrey worked as an Energy Specialist and Gender Advisor for a USAID-funded Ukraine Support for Privatization, Improved Governance, and Increased Transparency (SPIGOT) project which aims to reduce corruption in Ukraine's energy sector by privatizing state-owned oil and gas enterprises. She wrote the M&E plan and contributed to a privatization road map. Aubrey also facilitated a pre-trade mission for a group of Kenyan Governors and their advisors. Aubrey planned and coordinated meetings with potential investors, development practitioners, and organizations offering knowledge on best practices for investment and growth in the region. Aubrey was also involved in Deloitte's business development, and conducted extensive on-the-ground research into an upcoming USAID Kyrgyzstan Executive Good Governance program, interviewed members of Kyrgyz government, civil society, and INGOs to the inform proposal. Aubrey is a certified coach in Deloitte’s Cypress Methodology, a change management and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tool.

Created and produced a ten-episode video series on modern Mongolia and youth leadership. Secured funding from the U.S. Department of State and managed a team of videographers and editors. Attracted wide-spread print, radio, and television coverage and culminated the series with a standing room-only discussion panel that was live broadcast to over 10,000 people.

Aubrey worked as a Policy Advisor at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She joined with other allied organizations to bring industry best-practices on extractive governance to the Chamber’s members. For example, she collaborated with the Mongolian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (MEITI) to organizing a conference to train small- and medium-scale extraction companies on how to comply with a newly-enacted transparency law and EITI e-reporting standards.She worked with the MNCCI marketing department to revive their quarterly English-language investment magazine. She wrote many articles for the magazine and edited each issue. She has also worked collaboratively with other MNCCI partners on various projects. She contributed to a report on corruption in government ministries in Mongolia, and collaborated with the The Asia Foundation, the City of Ulaanbaatar, and the Korean Agency for International Development (KOICA) to open a Women's Business Center and Incubator.

In addition to her work at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aubrey has regularly attended and spoken at conferences in Mongolia. She has presented her research on Mongolia's extractive sector governance in comparative perspective to various NGOs, scholars, and industry members work on extractive governance issues.

As the head of the Truman National Security Project’s Development Department, Aubrey strategized to finance the organization’s $4 million operating budget through individuals, grants, and corporate donors. She met and corresponded with established and prospective donors to provide education on national security issues, the Truman Project’s work, and to encourage fiscal support for TNSP’s programming. Here, she supervised staff of three employees and proposed and managed the department’s annual budget. She also traveled to Azerbaijan and Turkey with a group of Truman Project Fellows to meet with senior government and civil society officials.

Albany, New York Area

As the Campaign Manager and Finance Director for the incumbent Congressman, Aubrey fundraised from in-district constituencies and outside interest groups to raise approximately $1 million, increasing the Congressman’s donor base by 61%. She organized fundraising events, staffed the Congressman for meetings, and provided briefings on donors and interest groups.

Roanoke, Virginia Area

As the campaign’s Finance Director and Press Secretary, Aubrey facilitated the candidate’s fundraising and political phone calls, coordinated fundraising meetings and events, created donor profiles, and conducted research using state and national reporting databases. She wrote press releases and communicated with media outlets, managed new media outreach, and consulted the campaign on key strategic decisions.

Glens Falls, New York Area

As a Field Organizer for this special election, Aubrey contributed to a team that came from 22 percentage points behind in the polls to win Republican district by 399 votes. She organized “Get out the Vote” efforts for five winning towns in Washington Country, directed regional Election-Day staging sites, and supervised poll-watching and reporting. As a member of the recount staff, Aubrey managed the filing of absentee and affidavits ballot challenges for the entire district throughout legal proceedings.

Somerville, Ma

As Outreach Coordinator, Aubrey worked on a USAID-funded program to design, finance, and implement programs to rehabilitate survivors of landmine accidents throughout Central America. Programming focused on physical rehabilitation including manufacturing of prosthetics and wheelchairs, sustainable job placement, and reintegration to society.

Macomb County, Michigan

As Camapign Corps Fellow, Aubrey served as Field Director and Volunteer Coordinator for a State Legislature campaign based in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. There she designed and directed phone and canvass program for a successful, top-targeted state representative race. Aubrey organized the most aggressive state representative field program in Michigan, knocking on approximately 50,000 doors, making over 40,000 phone calls, and managing over 300 volunteers and several interns. She designed and ran Absentee Voter, Election Day voter turn-out, and election protection programs and coordinated with allied organizations on the local and national levels.

Worked as a student assistant at Smith College's Mortimer Rare Book Room throughout college. As a result of work in the Rare Book Room, I was invited and funded to present my research at a 2007 on Sylvia Plath at the University of Oxford. Following from this conference, I organized a large Plath conference at Smith College that featured several of Plath's living correspondents and prominent Plath Scholars. The conference was attended by actress Julia Stiles and received widespread media attention. I managed all aspects of the conference from paper acquisition to catering to press.
