Initiating actionto maintain or improve hygiene and prevent pollution of water,air or soil as a result ofmining activities. Obtaining information about mining practices and accidents todetermine compliance with safety regulations and availability of safety devices.Perform Mineral Regulations duties; Evaluate Mining, Prospecting and Permit Rightapplications. Evaluate Prospecting and Mining Work Programmes. Evaluate annualprogress reports and perform audit inspections of the Mining Rights.Perform Mine Environmental Management duties ; Evaluate environmentalmanagement program, scoping reports, environmental impact assessments andclosure applications. Compile Environmental Authorizations.Carry out inspections in terms of MPRDA, NEMA and MHSA.
