• Conducted state mandated trainings and professional enrichment workshops for all agency employees resulting in a skilled and empowered workforce. Frequent training topics include CPR/First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, Dementia and Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health and Developmental Disability, Psychotropic Medications, Human Rights and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional training.• Presented monthly interactive workshops for the Chicago Police Department to improve understanding of developmental disabilities in emergency situations as part of CPD’s Crisis Intervention Training program. • Developed curriculum for web based and classroom training which was offered to agency employees and customers outside of Anixter Center to improve delivery of developmental disability and mental health services in the Chicagoland area.• Recruited and supervised volunteer tutors working one on one with adults with disabilities; helping each student achieve individualized goals toward literacy. • Completed quarterly grant reports and annual grant applications in compliance with requirements to maintain funding for literacy program.

• Developed program plans and coordinated all support services for clients with developmental disabilities to help them meet goals for physical and mental health, financial independence, social opportunities and employment. • Created an art program for adults with developmental disabilities Partnered with a local art studio, obtained grant funding, developed curriculum, instructed bi-monthly classes, and coordinated sale of art projects with all proceeds benefiting the art program and participant artists. • Ensured consistent eligibility and delivery of Medicaid/Medicare, Social Security, SNAP, paratransit and other benefits for consumers with developmental disabilities enabling them to live as more engaged members of their communities.
