Delivered project management to select clients such as: Alliance Data, American Airlines, Amazon, CEVA, GameStop, ONEOK, and Tyson Foods. Drafted statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams. Ensured progress toward established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards.

The History of Medicine

One of 10 individuals chosen for a competitive internship at Coopers Clinic in Dallas, TX. Taught a physical therapy class for Parkinson’s patients. Aided in a program called Female Focus, which aims to provide an overall wellness program to women suffering from various types of disease ranging from cancer to obesity. Shadowed doctors in the Hematology Lab and Radiology department. Assisted in administering treadmill fitness testing, and reviewed results with patients for overall fitness screenings.

Summer research assistant for Dr. Ron Victor, head of the Hypertension division. Carried out research for the Barbershop Project, which aimed to improve awareness, treatment, and control of hypertension in African American men. Shadowed Dr. Victor in the office, measuring blood pressure, taking weight and height measurements, and administering EKGs to patients. Worked behind the scenes organizing medications for Barbershop patients, filing paperwork, and creating posters and Power Point presentations for the project.

Internship with one of the nation’s leading specialists in sports medicine and knee surgery, Dr. James Montgomery. Observed knee and shoulder surgeries. Listened and learned as Dr. Montgomery went on rounds with patients and discussed and diagnosed their injuries.
