Award-winning British writer now based in Hollywood. I help companies find the right words. More about me at: aubreyday.com(That was the short version. Super long version below…)I work at Disney on all major film releases. Previously, I wrote Creative Marketing scripts for Apple, built a Written Comms team at Netflix and created Global Publicity materials at 20th Century. Basically, I’ve done everything words-based on a movie you can imagine - from retitling a film to coming up with the tagline for the poster to writing the speeches for Oscar night. (Not to mention producing synopses, talking points, production notes, generic interviews, etc. etc.). What about actually writing the script? I’ll get to that… I’ve collaborated with directors and producers, and media-trained actors, ghost-written articles and presentations for Studio Heads and produced (and sometimes directed) promo pieces that went viral.I’ve worked on a ton of big franchises, a tidy collection of Awards winners and many other films and shows, both delights and disasters – often learning more from the latter.I am also a screenwriter. (See, told you I’d get to the script part). My latest project, The Dancing Detective, airs on the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries network and stars Lacey Chabert and Will Kemp. I have several more projects in production and development and I am repped by Andrew Mills at Revolution Talent.I used to be a journalist. I was the US Editor of Empire, the UK Editor-in-Chief of Total Film and I have contributed to the BBC, CNN, TIME, Variety, Esquire, Sports Illustrated, Time Out, and The Sunday Times, among others. In addition, I have authored and edited a number of books on popular culture and sport, including the fairly successful (reprinted three times!) “Random Histories” series of comedic books (The Random History of Football, The Random History of Golf, etc.).(Phew, that was a lot of words to type with one finger on my phone… traffic really doesn’t move in LA…)
