o Lead process improvements in all facets of Starbuck’s new store builds and renovations enabling real estate, design, and construction teams to simplify workflows, adopt innovation, and deliver organizational growth. o Took ownership of high-priority corporate initiative rollouts across domestic and international design and construction offices, touching all parts of the store development process from feasibility to site operations. o Built relationships and inspired collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including tech teams, real estate partners, landlords, architects, engineers, general constrictors, legal partners, and operations teams. SPECIAL PROJECT- Managed a two-year effort to unify workflows used by Starbucks’ design teams and restructure corporate architecture and engineering contracts in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and China. o Used intuitive listening skills to understand the process used by over 200 employees and consultants. o Influenced partners to join me in process analysis, KPI definition, block identification, and solution ideation. o Implemented new process and contract adoption via change management rollout to 125 Architecture firms and designers in eight regional offices using excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills. o Project outcome remains the foundation of all Starbucks’ architecture and engineering work worldwide. SPECIAL PROJECT- Structured, validated, and delivered Starbucks’ first scalable prefabricated construction program with both modular and panelized manufacturing pilots. o Vetted nationwide suppliers, identified opportunities in real estate pipeline, created new contract types, tracked key performance indicators (KPI), communicated progress to leadership, and deployed entirely new delivery system. o Program continues to save Starbucks 8-16 weeks on ground-up construction projects across the U.S.

Worked quickly under tremendous pressure and ambiguity to forge an entirely new design and construction management business from the ground up. This included inventing new tools, processes, and procedures for hiring, contracting, budget and schedule tracking, design documents, and construction administration. SPECIAL PROJECT- Inherited a severely delayed and politically entangled plan to build an aerospace sales gallery showcasing immersive audio-visual and lighting equipment. o Resurrected a failed project by spearheading an RFP process and vetting/contracting a fresh design, engineering, and construction team. o Simultaneously navigated complex legal proceedings and managed potentially explosive client communication with executive-level stakeholders. o Persuaded designers, general contractors, and sub-contractors to come together and build a seemingly impossible vision using unorthodox means and methods while also value engineering the overall budget down by 40%.SPECIAL PROJECT- Inherited a severely delayed and politically entangled plan to renovate an existing warehouse building, transforming it into an aerospace design/build center, which included the installation of three full-scale aircraft mock-ups, metal and wood shops, a VR visualization studio, and office space. o Delicately untangled damaged relationships and creatively phase work performed by four teams while gracefully managing 53 cross-functional team members, client groups as large as 15, and skillfully delivering difficult messages in front of an executive-level audience. o Lead weekly on-site meetings to spur progress by resolving design and constructibility issues, facilitating communication with specialty installers, and encouraging creative collaboration on budget and schedule issues. o Oversaw the daily flow of communication necessary to execute construction submittals, RFIs, ASIs, payment applications, change orders, and close-out documents.

o Founded a remodel design studio that quickly rose to the top of Seattle’s remodeling market in just five years while remodeling over 90 homes by building relationships with over twenty of Seattle’s top general contractors.o Employed and managed three designers, including primary review of all floor plans, finish plans, electrical plans, interior elevations, and finish/ fixture specifications.o Awarded two Master Builder’s Remodeling Excellence awards.SPECIAL PROJECT- Developed and built an exhibit for the Seattle Home Show and became the first interior designer to exhibit a major presence in one of the country’s largest home improvement shows.

o Tracked program workflow, oversaw milestones, and set priorities for eight design and four sales staff. o Delivered design services for 40+ clients, including all interior construction documents and specifications.o Promoted from entry-level interior designer to head of design department within three years.SPECIAL PROJECT- Invented a comprehensive tool for finish and fixture specification that was later adopted by builders/remodelers all over the Puget Sound and spurred the launch of Aubrey Design.

The Retail Group created new store formats for retailers around the globe. Local brands that The Retail Group counted as clients include Ravenna Gardens, Gene Juarez, Overlake Hospital and Seattle's Best Coffee. National names included Sears, RadioShack, bebe and Nike.
