Architected Mykonos Security Appliance design requirements and spearheaded the completion of beta test machines.• Resolved email architecture flaw, utilizing LDAP expertise, NAS architecture experience, kernel directory entry cache measurements and F5 Local Traffic Manager, enabling diagnosis and resolution of underlying NAS contention issue and system level cache exhaustion. Decreased inbound delivery time for 2.5 million users from 8 hours per mail to less than 30 seconds, retaining largest client. Using the same methodology, re-architected pop, imap and cgi traffic, enabling retention of additional high-profile client.• Built semi-sentient user account automation suite utilizing Bash and Perl scripting, Oracle and NAS expertise, providing environment optimization for 2.2 million user data center, saving one full time head count.• Researched and recommended implementation of mandatory 2-factor authentication schema for PCI compliance, the key component for closing a 500,000+ account contract.• Designed SSO model for employee authentication on production servers utilizing OpenLDAP and global sudoers on existing hardware.

Responsible for high-level systems architecture, providing technology solutions to oversee, diagnose and monitor power grid efficacy for the electric utility industry. Provided mentoring and professional development for junior administrators and engineers.• Developed new systems architecture based around VMware Server 1.x, enabling rapid deployment of disposable or temporary machines in lab and production environments, resulting in extensive man-hour savings for the company.
